SYNOPSIS

Fernando, Jaime and Juan Carlos live in Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). During the 80s and 90s they visit and record with a Hi8 the daily life of their parents’ town of origin: Cardenete (Cuenca). During those years the world changes rapidly: Spain enters the EU, the Soviet bloc falls and the Olympics are held in Barcelona. But what does Cardenete have to do with all of this?

Paula Martínez Artero

Paula Martínez Artero (Barcelona, 1998). She studied Audiovisual Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and specialised in Editing with a postgraduate degree from the BSM-UPF. She has participated in projects such as Greata, selected at San Sebastian and D’A, and Surco, a feature film currently in development. Esta no es una película sobre Cardenete is her first solo film.
