SYNOPSIS

Carla is pregnant and naked, just like in the photos where her mother poses pregnant with her. Then, a young woman travels from the 60s to the present day, via the 80s, crossing the thresholds of femininity and history, until she meets Carla pregnant next to the blue sky of the Catalan coast.

DIRECTOR

Carla Simón

Screenwriter and film director raised in a small Catalan village. Audiovisual Communication in Barcelona and California. She received a scholarship from La Caixa to do an MA at the London Film School, where she directed the short films BORN POSITIVE, LIPSTCIK, LAS PEQUEÑAS COSAS and LLACUNES. ESTIU 1993 (2017), her first feature film, won two awards at the Berlinale and three Goya awards. She won the Kering|Women In Motion Young Talent Award at Cannes. ALCARRÀS, her second feature film, won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale in 2022.
