Manlleu Film Festival is an outdoor film festival that takes place near Ter river as it passes through the town of Manlleu, from 85 km from Barcelona. Located in the heart of Catalonia (Spain), the festival was founded in 2003 to bring to the town the best national and international independent short films of the moment.

With this spirit, over the last 16 years, more than 12,000 directors and producers have been entrusted to the festival by sending them their works, and we have projected around 600 short films from around the world. Currently, with an audience of more than 600 spectators per year, the Manlleu Film Festival is a consolidated film festival in Catalonia.

Supporting the cinema produced in Catalonia is essential. That is why Manlleu Film Festival has a National Section for short films produced or co-produced in Catalonia, or with Catalan directors.
We want to break with the every day more diffuse borders between cinematographic genres. For this reason, the festival focuses on films that explore the limits of fiction, non-fiction, animation and experimental cinema.

So, now, more than ever, you are all welcome.
